History of the 228th

The 228th Supply & Service Company (Direct Support) was activated on 20 July 1966 in Long Binh, Bien Hoa Province, Republic of Vietnam, and served until mid-March 1973. Over those years, the unit operated under seven known superior command structures across III and IV Corps, supporting forward direct-support operations from Long Binh to Tay Ninh and ultimately to Can Tho.
