Description

Although not necessarily in a specific order, Gallery A4 through A9 represent various photographs taken July 1966 through May 1967 by then PFC, later SP4 Roy M. Dietz; Quartermaster Supply Specialist assigned with 228th S&S Co (DS) for his entire tour of duty in Republic of Vietnam; Long Binh to Tay Ninh. Roy’s photos were converted from still to DVD, which were reconverted from DVD to still to allow for posting within this Website. Note: Roy was not able to provide an identifier or descriptive listing. Most names and locations I was able to recognize, but some individuals I cannot remember. Description

Various Photographs taken outside of Tay Ninh Base Camp, but of interest, as they indicate varied locations associated with the 228th in Cu Chi, Long Binh, Quon Loi, Dau Tieng, Highway 1A, Highway 13, and other as taken by ground, convoy, air, and/or other by indicated personnel of the 228th 1966 – 1967. Same restrictions as annotated in Photo Gallery (a) and (b) apply.

Description

Tay Ninh pictures of personnel, and scenes both inside and outside of the base camp. I have attempted to organize in chronological order and follow the 228th and its commanding unit the 567th S & S Bn/or the Tay Ninh Logistical Support activity (Prov). Many officers and enlisted soldiers transferred between these two units on a frequent basis.
